There are a lot less reeskin tanks, and the ones that get a special skin, are not a different tank, just a camouflage that you can buy (instead of having to buy a new tank with just another name). HUGE variety of maps of various sizes, with LOTS of bushes and positions for any class of tanks (except some old maps, but some of them got changed to improve the gaming experience).

Not only that, but PC has been constantly balancing tanks, some old premium tanks got (and more will be getting) some good buffs, some whole lines of underpowered tanks got specific buffs to make this tanks unique in the battles (12,8cm gun on the E100 line, E5 with better DPM and gun handling.), campaigns to get free premium tanks and other good things for around 300.000 xp (which is not difficult to do within the time given). I'm sure there's other stuff, but that's a tasteĪs both a PC and a Console player, i think PC is WAY better than Console, even more so right now (after 6.0).Īs PC has a bigger player base, it is easier to get your own tier battles (even though it is +2/-2, i think you get bottom tier much less than Console). With the way dipshits troll their own teammates in this game, not sure if it's a good thing or not. Lastly, pc has friendly fire enabled, we don't. We do also have better giveaways, typically, but they really increased after the massive overhaul in December that was widely panned by the community. This one is kinda ass, but every one has paid itself off of you finish it. We only dropped Xbox 360 functionality back in June, so we're still digging out of the mid 00s in a sense. We've had many maps culled (seemingly permanently much to our dismay) but some may be coming back slowly. PC has larger maps in the inventory, 30v30 mega battles and more maps in general. On PC, they're a little more accurate with much lower alpha chance but a larger splash radius and the stun effect that decreases a crew's functionality for a short time. At least we did until 6.0 when the new crew skills were released and they got a 10% reload and accuracy buff along with everything else. We have the old arty mechanic: big boom for large alpha with longer reload and lower accuracy.
Not here, but it kills your battle efficiency, so we don't recommend it. Also, on PC you have to have a crew to play a tank. On pc, they used to only be able to train in vehicles of the same nation and class (medium, heavy, TD, etc), and I think that's still the case. Additionally, our crews can train in any premium vehicle of their own nation. On console, the commander holds those skills for the entire crew. On PC, you have individual crew members who learn specific skills. These crews get skills that make them perform better in battle. We lost that and it's infuriating and I've finished the entire tech tree. Basically if you research and unlock a module once in a nation, it's researched everywhere in that nation. The kick in the balls, though, is they broke (intentionally removed?) what is called shared research. That seems nice, but most things you'll want to purchase and equip anyway. Ours have been reworked where you go through a linear progression and earn the XP then move on. Additionally, on PC, you have to research modules (track upgrades, guns, turrets, engines, and radios) individually, but you can choose which ones to do when. We had all of tiers 1 and 2 removed, but the trees are just as complex at tier 3 as they always were. Last year, PC moved many low tier tanks out of normal position and made the tech trees thinner at the bottom. So yeah ! thanks in advance for your help! Also while I wanted to find a nice game to play on my couch I don’t have any friends to play with on console (which is another unrelated issue I know ) I hesitate because while PC seems more deep because of the crew for example, console has a new major addition with the Cold War mode which confuses me even more. I do not mean to offend people who enjoy the console version as I do enjoy it myself but I have to ask before i invest too much time : do you feel like one version is better than the other and why? However, the more I read and watch stuff about the game the more it feels like the console version is a simpler version of the PCs?
So I started playing WoT this week and I’m having a blast, even if I’m not very good yet. I’ve posted a few time here already and everybody was nice and helpful BUT I still have another question 😅 and google was not really helpful as It’s difficult to differentiate outdated from recent informations.
